Student Access To School

The school policy on student access to the school site is as follows:

Students walking to school should access the site via the designated footpath only.

Students who arrive to school or are picked up by car/van are requested to be dropped off and collected from outside of the school gates unless for an arranged appointment.  For the safety of students crossing the driveway, the vehicle gates will be closed from 8.30 to 8.45am, and from 2.45 to 3pm.

The Crown Pub car park opposite the school is for pub patrons only. The school would request your assistance to this local business by not arranging to drop or collect pupils from this point.

Pedal Cycles

The school only allows students to bring onto site pedal cycles which can be secured at the owners risk in the designated cycle storage areas.  No form of motorised student scooter/ motor cycle etc. is allowed on the school site.

Motorised student vehicles

The school does not allow any form of motorised student scooter/motor cycle/vehicle on to the  site.  There are no on site  facilities for student parking and these must be left at home.   Please note this policy also applies to students who are undertaking summer season GCSE examinations.

For pupils arriving to school by train, a season ticket is available to pupils from Northern Rail at a discounted rate.
