Big Purple Coffee Morning Raises Incredible £5,000.00!

We are delighted to announce that The Big Purple Coffee Morning held in our school restaurant on Saturday 23 March raised a whopping £5000.00 for The Lilac Centre at St Helens Hospital.

This is the second time that we have hosted and supported the event which this year attracted 600 guests to our school, breaking all records.

Elizabeth Rouski who coordinated the event with Mr Mealey was overwhelmed by the generosity of so many people who had contributed in so many ways: making donations, baking or buying cakes or contributing the most wonderful prizes for the raffle.

On arrival at school, guests were treated to a vast array of cakes baked by the whole community and were asked only to make a small donation for anything they fancied! More than anything else, it was a chance for friends and families to catch up for a couple of hours, chat, eat cake and have a cuppa. What’s not to love?

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event which will help so many people who are currently undergoing cancer treatment at The Lilac Centre.
