GCSE Exam Celebrations
In a year like no other, and despite significant challenges, our students were rewarded with an outstanding and thoroughly deserved set of GCSE results. 82% of students achieved ‘The Gold Standard’ of grades 9-4 in English & Mathematics with 63% of students achieving grades 9-5. A third of all grades achieved this year were at the highest levels of 9-7.
School Principal Mr Corner praised the unified and relentless commitment of students, staff and the whole Wade Deacon community in determining these results:
“Despite the turbulence that students and staff have had to face over recent months, they have come through incredibly strongly with achievement at the very highest level across the whole curriculum for which I am extremely proud. The resilience that students have shown throughout their time with us shows their true calibre, and today we celebrate, not just their academic successes, but also their achievements in so many areas of their development. Excellent performance today confirms that our school continues to go from strength to strength, underpinned as it is, with tremendous support from teachers, support staff, parents and carers.”
